Heartland Center located at 5622 North 69th street is a family owned proprietorship run by its owner Edward .E. Okosi, who has twenty years of management and leadership skills with emphasis on information systems, accounting and economics. Mrs. Maureen Okosi (wife), who has ten years experience in child education and communication, will support business operation. In addition, Heartland Center will hire a facility director, someone with years of experience in day care management. With the current economy situation, it has become a necessity for families to have a dual income. Husband and wife both work outside the home to make ends meet. The cost of living keeps going up while wages are stagnant. The growth rate of new businesses around the proposed site for the Heartland Center in Omaha leads us to anticipate the need for a day care business. The employees of the new businesses like the Target Store, Linen& Things in the newly developed plaza on 72 ND and Sorensen Parkway, which is very close to Heartland Day Care have a need for day care for their children. Heartland Day Care Center will be able to compete with other similar business by offering competitive prices and special discounts for employees of businesses around the location of the day care center. Heartland Center will maintain an excellent reputation with families and members of the businesses that they serve. Heartland Day Care normal operating hours will be 6:30 am to 8pm, Monday thru Friday.
