The purpose of the attached Resolution is to renew a corporate partnership agreement with
ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership for convention destination promotion for the
period April 1, 2012 through April 1, 2013., The Omaha Convention&Visitors Bureau(OCVB)
previously entered into a corporate partnership agreement for the 2011 Season, resulting in
increased convention business. The 2012 Season continues to provide prevalent marketing
exposure for Omaha, valued at $280,000 in corporate partner benefits. Therefore,the OCVB
desires to promote Omaha as a convention destination year-round through ASAE: The Center for
Association Leadership advertising,promotions, and events.
The $130,000 cost of such agreement will be paid from Fiscal Year 2012, Fund 21109,
Organization 115941, Account 42112 in the amount of $50,000 (OCVB Marketing) and the
remainder from Fiscal Year 2012, Fund 21109, Organization 115921, Account 42239
(Convention Sales).

5. The Contractor shall take such actions with respect to any subcontractor as the City may direct as a means of
enforcing the provisions of Paragraphs (1) through (7) herein, including penalties and sanctions for
noncompliance; however, in the event the Contractor becomes involved in or is threatened with litigation as
the result of such directions by the City, the City will enter into such litigation as necessary to protect the
interests of the City and to effectuate the provisions of this division; and in the case of contracts receiving
Federal assistance, the Contractor or the City may request the United States to enter into such litigation to
protect the interests of the United States.
6. The Contractor shall file and shall cause his subcontractors, if any, to file compliance reports with the
Contractor in the same form and to the same extent as required by the Federal government for Federal
contracts under Federal rules and regulations. Such compliance reports shall be filed with the Contract
Compliance Officer. Compliance reports filed at such times as directed shall contain information as to the
employment practices,policies, programs and statistics of the Contractor and his subcontractors.
7. The Contractor shall include the provisions of Paragraphs (1) through (7) of this Section, "Equal Employment
Opportunity Clause",and Section 10-193 in every subcontract or purchase order so that such provisions will
be binding upon each subcontractor or vendor.

The Corporate Partnership was developed to provide the Omaha Convention &Visitors Bureau maximum exposure while
aligning itself with ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership. This bundled package is a comprehensive opportunity,
available to a limited number of industry partners, designed to help build and maintain a relationship with our members and
the association community as a whole. In addition, participation in the Alliance Partnership Program at the Corporate level
is exclusive and offers benefits unattainable by other industry partners
This one year program bundles the marketing channel assets of ASAE for the Omaha Convention &Visitors Bureau to
effectively reach the association market and is offered at$130,000.

protect the interests of the United States.
6. The Contractor shall file and shall cause his subcontractors, if any, to file compliance reports with the
Contractor in the same form and to the same extent as required by the Federal government for Federal
contracts under Federal rules and regulations. Such compliance reports shall be filed with the Contract
Compliance Officer. Compliance reports filed at such times as directed shall contain information as to the
employment practices,policies, programs and statistics of the Contractor and his subcontractors.

WHEREAS,the Omaha Convention&Visitors Bureau(OCVB)desires to continue
promoting Omaha as a convention destination to a targeted national audience; and,
WHEREAS, ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership is a respected
international organization representing more than 11,000 associations including leading trade
associations,societies and volunteer organizations across the United States and in nearly 50 countries
around the world; and,
WHEREAS,aligning with ASAE elevates the City of Omaha's stature as a convention
destination and benefits the city's convention sales efforts; and,
WHEREAS, ASAE and the OCVB have previously entered into a corporate
partnership resulting in increased convention business for the City of Omaha; and,
WHEREAS,the OCVB desires to renew its corporate partnership with ASAE in 2012
to provide increased access to convention decision makers and year-round marketing exposure
through ASAE's website, marketing collateral, publications, press releases, and signature events;
and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City.of Omaha and its convention sales
efforts to authorize the OCVB to renew a corporate sponsorship with ASAE: The Center for
Association Leadership and contribute an amount not to exceed$130,000 to renew such sponsorship
and to enter into the attached Sponsorship Agreement.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau is authorized to expend an amount
not to exceed$130,000,to renew a corporate sponsorship with ASAE: The Center for Association
Leadership to promote Omaha as a convention destination for a term of April 1,2012 through April
