Staff would support approval of these improvements. However,a drinking fountain in this area would not be supported, due to remote location and the additional maintenance involved with winterization and repairs. Likewise, due to the regular use of the soccer field, the irrigation system and one drinking fountain in the vicinity of the soccer field would be supported. This drinking fountain could be serviced in conjunction with the irrigation system so would not pose additional maintenance burden. To summarize, staff recommends the following: 1. Denial of the picnic shelter and associated drinking fountain. 2. Approval of additional picnic tables and associated walks and trash receptacle. 3. Approval of the irrigation system and associated drinking fountain.
