The attached Resolution approves the contract with Heimes Corp. for OPW 52450. being the 49th
Street from Sprague Street to Ames Avenue public improvements.
The following bids were received on August 28, 2013. A detailed bid tabulation is attached.

Transportation Bond Fund 13183, Transportation Bonds Organization 117; 17, year 2013
expenditures.
The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the hid from Heimes Corp. in the
amount of$527,444.76, being the lowest and best bid received, and req.ie is your consideration
and approval of this Resolution.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, bids were submitted on August 28, 2013 for OPW 52450, being the 49th
Street from Sprague Street to Ames Avenue public improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Heimes Corp. submitted a bid of$527,444.76, being the lowest and best bid
received for OPW 52450.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the contract with Heimes Corp. for OPW 52450,
being the 49th Street from Sprague Street to Ames Avenue public improvements in the amount of
$527,444.76 is hereby approved; and, that the Finance Department is authorized to pay this cost
from the 2010 Transportation Fund 13183, Transportation Bonds Organization 117117, year
