The S.I.D. will be constructing the boulevard improvements in two phases, consisting of a 6' wide sidewalk on both sides of the boulevard and regularly spaced street trees. The SID is requesting approval of the design and funding for both phases of the enhancements. Estimated cost of both phases 1 and 2 is $155,350.00 for construction and 61,929.52 for soft costs, totaling$217,279.52. RECOMMENDATIONS: The plans are generally consistent with the "Omaha Master Plan for Suburban Parks" in terms of routing and overall design. However, the street section on Sheet 1 should be revised to show the trees centered in the Boulevard lawn, the area between the curb and the sidewalk, in accordance with Plan's "Boulevard Design Guidelines". Park Planning staff recommends approval for the plans and funding with the condition that this revision be made.
