The following bids were received on May 7, 2014. A detailed bid tabulation is attached. Contractor Base Bid Alternate Bid SWAIN CONSTRUCTION, INC. $676,927.65 $630,728.97 TAB Construction $691,927.46 $644,754.00 The contractor has filed a current Contract Compliance Report Form (CC-1) with the Human Rights and Relations Department The Project will be constructed according to the plans for the base bid, and is being funded through a partnership between City and Community sources. This resolution authorizes the Finance Department to pay the cost of OPW 52051 according to the schedule of funds attached to the resolution as City fiscal year 2014 expenditures. This will include partial funding from the Street and Highway Allocation Fund 12131, the 2010 Transportation Bond Fund 13183, and the Community Development Block Grant Fund 12186. The Capitol Improvements Fund 13112 will be the receiving fund for the balance of project costs to be contributed from the Blackstone Business Improvement District, Tax Increment Financing projects along this corridor, from interested community members and from community based organizations. The Public Works Department recommends the acceptance of the bid from Swain Construction, Inc., being the lowest and best bid received, and requests your consideration and approval of this Resolution.
