AN ORDINANCE extending the limits of the City of Omaha over certain land in Douglas County,
Nebraska, and incorporating the same into and making the same a part of the City of Omaha and
to provide the effective date hereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. That the corporate limits of the City of Omaha be extended over and that there be
included therein the following described lands in Douglas County, Nebraska, which presently adjoins the
City Limits of the City of Omaha, as it now exists:
Beginning at a point on the existing city limit line to the City of Omaha as established by
Ordinance no. 18670, passed November 23, 1955, said point being the Southwest corner
of Lot 1, Perry Smith Addition Replat 1, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded
in Douglas County, Nebraska, said point also being on the northerly property line of the
Burlington Railroad; thence southeasterly along said northerly railroad property line, to
its intersection with the North line of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 7,
Township 14 North, Range 13 East of the 6t1' P.M., Douglas County, Nebraska; thence
east along said North line to its intersection with the southerly extension of the West
right-of-way line of 56th Street, said point also being on the existing city limit line to the
City of Omaha as established by Ordinance no. 23390, passed May 25, 1965; thence
easterly along said city limit line, said line being 25 feet south of and parallel to the North
right-of-way line of Y Street, to its intersection with a line that is 331.25 feet west of and
parallel to the East line of said section 7, said point also being on the existing city limit
line to the City of Omaha as established by Ordinance no. 28811, passed July 24, 1979;
thence south along said parallel line, said line also being said city limit line, a distance of
115.00 feet; thence east along said city limit line, a distance of 148.25 feet, to a point on
the existing city limit line to the City of Omaha as established by Ordinance no. 18671,
passed November 23, 1955, said point being 150.00 feet west of the west right-of-way
line of 48th Street; thence south along a line 150.00 feet west of and parallel to said west
right-of-way line, to its intersection with the North line of the Southeast Quarter(SE 1/4)
of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of said Section 7, said line being the existing city limit
line to the City of Omaha as established by Ordinance no. 19680, passed May 20, 1958;
thence west along said North line, to the northerly extension of the East line of Lot 1,
Anton Addition, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County,
Nebraska; thence south along said extended East line and said East line, to the Southeast
corner of said Lot 1; thence west along the South line of said lot 1, to the Southwest
corner of said Lot 1; thence southeasterly along the East line of Lot 16, said addition, to
the Southeast corner of said Lot 16; thence continuing southeasterly along the
southeasterly extension of the East line of said Lot 16, to its intersection with the South
property line of said Burlington Railroad; thence, northwesterly along said southerly
railroad property line, to its intersection with the southerly extension of the West line of
said Lot 1, Perry Smith Addition Replat 1, said point also being on the existing city limit
line to the City of Omaha as established by Ordinance no. 23430, passed June 22, 1965;
thence north along said southerly extended line, said line also being the existing city limit
line as described in said ordinance, to the Southwest corner of said Lot 1, Perry Smith
Addition Replat 1, said point being the point of beginning.

A map of the area is attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by this reference made a part of
this Ordinance. The land to be annexed is marked thereon, but said map is for convenience and, in case
of discrepancy, the description in this Section shall be controlling. The said territory upon the taking
effect of this Ordinance shall be and become incorporated into, merged in, and be a part of the City of
Omaha,Nebraska, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof and to its laws and ordinances.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect fifteen (15) days from and
after the date of it's passage.
Section 3. That pursuant to NEB REV STAT §14-201.03 (Cum. Supp.2006) and NEB REV
STAT § 32-553 et. seq. (Reissue 2004), the lands annexed by the City of Omaha as described in Section 1
above shall be assigned to Omaha City Council District No. 4.
