Attached for your consideration is a Resolution requested by the Mayor's Office to provide for
the consistency in termination dates of appointed members of the Library Board. It came to the
attention of the Mayor's Office that some appointments terminated at times other than June 30
which is in violation of Omaha Municipal Code Section 14-25 that states appointments shall be
for a term of three years commencing July 1.

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, Section 14-23 of the Omaha Municipal Code provides for the
appointment of members to the Library Board by the Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, Section 14-25 of the Omaha Municipal Code provides that said
appointments shall be for a term of three years commencing July 1; and,
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Mayor's Office that some of these
appointments terminated at times other than June 30; and,
WHEREAS,it is necessary and proper to have consistency in the termination dates of
previously appointed members.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, the appointment by the Mayor of Terri L. Bull as a member of the Library
Board as previously confirred by Resolution No. 836, on June 19, 2012, shall be rescinded only to
the extent to amend the date that Ms. Bull's appointment will terminate on June 30, 2015; and,
THAT, the appointment by the Mayor of Lenora Isom as a member of the Library
Board as previously confirmed by Resolution No. 988, on July 23, 2013, shall be rescinded only to
the extent to amend the date that Ms. Isom's appointment will terminate on June 30, 2016; and,
THAT,the appointment by the Mayor of Anna Hernandez-Valencia as a member of
the Library Board as previously confirmed by Resolution No 1219,on September 10,2013, shall be
rescinded only to the extent to amend the date that Ms. Hernandez-Valencia's appointment will
terminate on June 30, 2016; and,
THAT, the appointment by the Mayor of Michael Meyer as a member of the Library
Board as previously confirmed by Resolution No. 1144,on August 20,2013,shall be rescinded only
to the extent to amend the date that Mr. Meyer's appointment will terminate on June 30, 2016; and,
