Developed the following classes: Ornamental Grasses, Business of Horticulture, Perennials: Culture& Identification, Fruits for the Home Garden. Working with the Culinary Arts Department planning and planting an organic garden for use in the Bistro for students to have real life experience. Evaluations from students has always been above the college average. Initiated with a grant from the Peter Kiewit Foundation and horticulture students from MCC working with underprivileged children summer program to teach them to plant, cultivate and harvest vegetable gardens. Ongoing for 4 years and in 2011, 10 MCC students worked with 175 children. Instrumental in having Metropolitan Community College become a site for the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. She is the curator for the site that is 80 acres with 10 forarboretum, Represented MCC by going to Russia as a volunteer for Land '0 Lakes, Inc., went to Omsk In 2004 and worked with enterprises that raised vegetables In greenhouses for 21 days and again in 2005 to Novosibirsk for 17 days to work with a farmer that raised vegetables for outdoor markets. The object was crop rotation, pest control and work with the people on harvest.
