The designated community redevelopment area demonstrated deteriorating public infrastructure and improvements that have since been revitalized and restored. Other outstanding or incomplete work contemplated for the area has been determined to not be required. The community redevelopment area designation is no longer necessary to eliminate conditions which are detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare by developing under-utilized property. Therefore, the designation as a community redevelopment area approved by Resolution No. 558 should be rescinded. Your favorable consideration of this Resolution will be appreciated. Date Finance Director Public Works Director 2124 dlh c Asa CITY OF OMAHA LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER Omaha,Nebraska RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: WHEREAS, Resolution No. 558 passed May 15, 2012, declared the study area of Census Tract 67.03 Block Group 1 consisting of approximately 305.6 acres and generally bound by 114th Street and I-680 W on the west, Pacific Street on the south, West Dodge Road on the north and I-680 E on the east met the standards of a substandard and blighted area in need of redevelopment as contemplated by the requirements of Nebraska Community Development Law and approved its designation as a community redevelopment area; and WHEREAS, the redevelopment of public infrastructure and improvements contemplated for the area designated as a community redevelopment area by the Resolution have been completed; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that any outstanding or incomplete work previously contemplated shall not be required; and WHEREAS, the designation as a community redevelopment area is no longer necessary to eliminate conditions which are detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare by developing under-utilized property.
