Transmitted herewith is a Resolution approving fee transfer to the Papio-Missouri River Natural
Resource District (PMRNRD) for the administration of Watershed Management Fees in the
Papio Creek Watershed.
The City Council approved an Interlocal Agreement with the membership of the Papio Creek
Watershed Partnership implementing updates to the Watershed Management Plan by Ordinance
No. 40025 on June 24, 2014, in which the City of Omaha will collect watershed management
fees within its jurisdiction and remit them to the PMRNRD for administration. The City Council
also approved the updates to Section 32 of the Omaha Municipal Code that outline the schedule
of these watershed management fees by Ordinance No. 40051 on July 22, 2014.
This fee remittance, in the amount of$148,654.56, represents the sum of watershed management
fees collected by the Omaha Planning Department for the period of June 1, 2014 through
December 31, 2014. This fee is processed through the Stormwater Fee Revenue Fund 12128,
Organization 000000,
The Public Works Department requests your consideration and approval of the attached

Dear Mr. Grate:
The District is invoicing all Partnership members for the Watershed Fees collected as agreed to in the 5-
year Inter-Local Agreement for the Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership. According to the agreement,
all fees collected by each community should be forwarded to the Papio-Missouri River Natural
Resources District no later than July 1 of each year of the agreement.
Please make a check payable in the amount of $148,654.56 to the Papio-Missouri River Natural

RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
WHEREAS, the City Council approved an Interlocal Agreement between the City of
Omaha and: the City of Bellevue, Nebraska; the Village of Boys Town, Nebraska; the_City of
Gretna, Nebraska; the City of LaVista, Nebraska; the City of Papillion, Nebraska; the City of
Ralston, Nebraska; Sarpy County, Nebraska; and the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources
District (PMRNRD), as members of the Papio Creek Watershed Partnership (the Partnership) by
Ordinance No. 40025 on June 24, 2014 for the purpose implementing the updated regional
watershed management plan; and,
WHEREAS, per the terms of the Agreement, the City of Omaha collects Watershed
Management Fees in accordance with the fee schedule set out in the Omaha Muncipal Code,
Section 32, which it then remits to the PMRNRD for administration on behalf of the Partnership;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Omaha has collected and needs to remit $148,654.56 in said
Watershed Management Fees for the period of June 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014,
according to the attached Transaction Detail from the Omaha Planning Department and Request
for Payment letter from the PMRNRD, which by this reference are made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OMAHA:
THAT, as recommended by the Mayor, the Finance Department is hereby authorized to
remit the Watershed Management Fees collected by the Planning Department from the period of
June 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014, in the amount of$148,654.56 to the Papio-Missouri
River Natural Resource District, per the terms of the Interlocal Agreement governing such fees,
to be paid from the Stormwater Fee Revenue Fund 12128, Organization 000000.
